Dr Isabel Collier joins the Armidale Stud team

Armidale Stud have strengthened their commitment to offering the gold standard in horse care with the appointment of Dr Isabel Collier as their resident veterinarian.

The poignant closure of Longford Equine, where Isabel has practised for the past five years, presented an opportunity for Armidale to continue their association with the widely respected equine veterinarian.

“We’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Isabel for 5 years now and hold her in the highest regard,” said David Whishaw.

“She strives for excellence in everything that she does and her core values align with what we stand for here at Armidale.”

While Isabel’s appointment opens a new realm of benefits for Armidale and their clients, her acquisition is bittersweet.

“It’s been very sad for all of us to see the Longford Equine chapter come to an end. We’ve all felt incredibly privileged to work with their team, and their dedication, expertise and friendship have meant a great deal to us,” said David.

“Like many longstanding business relationships, they inevitably turn into great friendships. Michael Morris has been a pivotal part of Armidale for just on four decades, and both he and the team at Longford Equine Clinic have been instrumental in the growth and success of our business.”

Isabel graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland in 2015 and brings a wealth of knowledge to her exciting new role at Armidale.

“We’re really excited to welcome Isabel to the team. She has vast experience and will be a great asset for the care and treatment of on farm horses, and those of our supporting stakeholders,” said David.

“With growing costs continuing to be a concerning factor within the industry, we will endeavour to keep veterinary treatment as cost-effective as possible.”
