Talented three-year-old gelding Bunjil (ex Smashin’ Mila) is the latest in a string of exciting winners for Alpine Eagle.

Sent out as the $1.30 favourite by trainers Tony & Calvin McEvoy, Bunjil duly delivered with a win in the IRT Maiden Plate at Werribee.

Bunjil joins Intrepid Eagle and Knight Batchelor as Alpine Eagle winners trained by Tony & Calvin, who fittingly also trained their sire to Group 2 victory.

Bunjil was a $70,000 purchase for McEvoy Mitchell Racing and Belmont Bloodstock from Armidale’s Inglis Premier Yearling draft.
