Caulfield Winner For Alpine Eagle And Needs Further Double

Alpine Eagle’s progeny continue to soar with his latest winner Throntari (pictured), putting on a dazzling display at Caulfield on Saturday.

The classy three-year-old filly swept around the home turn, finding her footing down the middle of the track to score easily by 2.5 lengths.
Trained by Robbie Griffiths and Mathew de Kock, Throntari (Alpine Eagle – Must Be Mink) was bred by Mark Wadley and sold to Griffiths Racing and Peter Ford T’Breds for $95,000 through our Tasmanian Magic Millions yearling draft.

Then at Launceston on Sunday, exciting Armidale bred and sold two-year-old filly Vokes (Needs Further – Miss Choosey) exhibited her dominance, notching up her second 3-length+ victory for trainer Leanne Gaffney.
Further North (Needs Further – Dear Friend) followed up shortly after, scoring her second win this preparation for John Blacker.

Congratulations to the connections of these three very smart ladies!
