Celebrating Success – Mr Zizou

Like many of our favourite success stories, Mr Zizou’s journey started in the foaling unit at Armidale.

With 3* eventing on his resume, Mr Zizou (aka Frenchie) is currently showjumping up to 1.45m with his trusted pilot Nina Griffiths.

His story started back in 2009 when Rhiannon decided to breed her thoroughbred mare Count the Kisses to the Hanoverian stallion Bellaire Cannavaro.

Frenchie has been a star for the ages and was broken in by David and Rhiannon before setting sail to embark on his equestrian career. He was hot property amongst the Griffiths family and was initially bought for Nina’s dad but his current jockey had other ideas!

Based on the Mornington Peninsula, the formidable duo compete around Australia and it brings us great joy to watch them kick goals week in and week out.

As a point of interest, Frenchie is a half-brother to Tasmanian Guineas & Sires’ Produce Stakes winner Socks!
