Third Winner for Needs Further

Jubilance (Needs Further x Buzzing Along ’14) became Needs Furthers third individual winner on Sunday with an eye catching last to first victory.  The Barry Campbell trained filly ran an eye catching fourth last start but found this 1350 metre maiden at her home track much more to her liking. She settled last of the field of 9 before storming down the outside to win by half a length under talented Victorian apprentice, Nathan Punch. Jubilance was purchased by Star Thoroughbreds for $72 500 at the Tasmanian Magic Millions Sale in 2016.

Jubilance is the first foal of the stakes placed, Buzzing Along & she has a full sister in training with one of Tasmania’s leading young trainers in Cameron Thompson.

Jubilance is the third individual winner for Needs Further who is proving to be a sire of juveniles. His first crop already includes dual stakes winner Pateena Arena and track record holder, Il Regalo.

Needs Further will stand for $5 500 this coming stud season.
