Armidale bred youngster RAPSCALLION (Telesto – Queen’s Own) broke his maiden status at Mowbray yesterday, at his first start back from a long spell. Purchased at the Tasmanian yearling sale by David and Scott Brunton for $25,000 the 3 year old is a half brother to their former star mare LADY LYNETTE – winner of over $1.2 million in stakes. Armidale sold another half brother by MAGNUS this year at the Inglis Premier Sale in Victoria, and Queen’s Own is currently in foal to NSW stallion DANE SHADOW. She is booked to visit Fastnet Rock’s sire son WANTED in Victoria this season.
Armidale stallions sired 3 of the 9 winners at Mowbray yesterday with LADALI (Ladoni – Ali’s Blessing) and SPOT LUCK (Savoire Vivre – Lotto Luck) both winning as well.
Last week at Elwick SECUMA (bred and sold by Armidale), THIS MOMENT (by Savoire Vivre and reared at Armidale) and DATE AND SIGN (by Ladoni) all won to continue the wonderful run of Armidale stock.
