It’s certainly not unusual for Armidale Sires to feature each weekend in the race results, but it isn’t often that all 5 of our most current sires have a winner on the same weekend!!
WEALTHY LAD (by Ladoni) started the ball rolling with a gutsy win at Sandown on Saturday over 1200m for his delighted Tasmanian owners Lance Cure and Maurice and Jenny Mace.
Then yesterday at Mowbray MAJESTIC DRAW (by Telesto), PERON DUNES (by Helike), SPOT LUCK (by Savoire Vivre) and HELL STRONG (by Tough Speed) all won!
Both WEALTHY LAD and HELL STRONG were born and reared at Armidale and continue the wonderful run our stock have had in recent years.
No luck at the Magic Millions Broodmare Sale in Queensland last week. Well bred, city winning mares were keenly sought after and the nice types bought good money. Armidale did underbid on a couple of lovely daughters of Champion Sire FLYING SPUR but that is as close as we got!
